Guidelines for Home-school-rocks.com YOU-TUBE videos:

Objective:  To create a multitude of home-school-rocks you-tube videos that:

·         Teach

·         Inspire

·         Educate

·         Promote principles of education and freedom! 

·         Create an avenue for the youth to inspire others.

Each student enrolled in a LEMI Scholar Project can submit up to three videos.  Each video must be accepted by LEMI to enter the contest.  To be accepted, the video will be judged according to the following rules.  Though you can have multiple people helping with the video, you can create it alone, or with a group.    

2011-12 School Year:  Prizes

First Place Video: $200   Second Place Video: $100             Third Place Video: $50

Rules:

1.        Topic Categories: (These are general topics, not video names.  Name your own video)

A.      Why I Love Commonwealth…

B.      Why a specific Scholar Project changed your life….

C.      Favorite a-has from school this year…

D.      This principle changed my life…

E.       Your Choice—something that has to do with your education and commonwealth!

2.       Time frame: 30 seconds to 3 ½ minutes

3.       Music background: inspirational

4.       Tone: Inspirational (it can be humorous, inspiring, fun, feeling, thought-provoking, positive, educational)

5.       Follow the following format exactly:

End with the slide that has the LEMI Home-school-rocks.com logo and the credits.  Insert your credits.

6.       BEFORE posting to you-tube, get the video “cleared” through LEMI for feedback for final version.  Email officelemi@gmail.com to learn how to send the video.

7.       You may use audio clips of LEMI audio publications or quotes.

8.       You may use power point presentations put to music, you may do interviews, you can create scenarios.  Be as creative as you like as long as it is parent and mentor approved and appropriate.

9.       Get 200 hits once the final version has been accepted, at this point your you-tube video will enter the Home-school-rocks.com competition.
